Typer Shark Deluxe

Typer Shark Deluxe

Typer Shark Deluxe is a fun and useful game where you dive to the bottom of the ocean and electrocute fish on the way by typing the letters or words written on their sides. The fish types are varied, the words are varied and you gain points depending on how fast or well you type the letters/words. At the bottom of the ocean you reach a wreck and now have the opportunity of finding a gem by typing as many words as you can (the words written on screen, I just started typing a long sentence of gibberish at first, but that just empties your air tank and you get no gem). The quality of this gem varies depending on how many words you get right, you get points for each level, and on you go with your adventure! There are different settings of difficulty and in general it's a fun game. It's probably a plus being able to type with all fingers if you want to try the expert modes, which I haven't ever really thought myself. Regardless, recommended game, both fun to play and useful for learning to type.

Alice Greenfingers 2

Alice Greenfingers 2

In Alice Greenfingers 2 Deluxe you play the roll of Alice, a young girl who walks around at home picking up dandelions, apples and performing various other household duties. It's a game in which you can not "miss" or "die" and you play at your own pace. Each day you earn a score and cash depending on duties you've performed and you gain trophies or medals for various achievements. It's an easygoing relaxing click-and-do game. The days pass by, you get richer, the tasks at hand vary, and it just keeps going that way forever (I haven't bothered playing till the end, if there is one, it is certainly a big game though). You can save and keep playing later on, it's like a mini RPG, an alternative life in which you just pick apples and live happily. Simple and fun to play!

Secret Maryo Chronicles

Secret Maryo Chronicles

Secret Maryo Chronicles is a game pretty similar to the original Super Mario games, featuring a slightly different main character, slightly differently drawn enemies and different levels to play. The game is released under GPL, meaning it's free to both play and build on, which is great, and many separate levels have been released as add-ons. The controls are easy to get the hang of, and the gameplay is smooth, but it feels a bit too smooth, smoother than the original Mario games in a... too smooth kind of way. Overall it's a good game, nice and simple, with clean graphics and entertaining levels, but the game engine leaves a bit to be desired. Sound could be improved as well.

Ball Racer

Ball Racer

Played through Ball Racer just now, pretty unique game, you race around a small track with a billiard ball. Easy, fun, no installation needed. You can download the file below if you feel like playing a quick game yourself. ;) It's freeware.

Pros: Unique, easy to play, varied levels, good sound effects, smooth graphics, simple interface

Cons: not many levels, predictable CPU, same basic arena on all levels, no multiplayer
