Boxed Torrents

It moved, to Baka BT. A trilogy of long newsposts can be found here for those full of confusion and fear. No worries, the community will never tear, it will rest in it's new lair, forever and ever.

(c) Short Report

Hello again!

Just stopping by at the public library at Överkalix once again after an exhausting bicycle ride at a constant speed of 25km/h to confirm the acception of my request for this years fair share of university studies before the 30th of July, three days from the deadline, phew. I've been out picking cloud-berries this morning, went jogging to our mailbox and back (it's slightly more than a kilometer away, right beside the mailbox of the last winterly established residence in our village), and then some swimming. The weather is sunny, mostly, but the rain has reached us, after a couple of weeks of vegetables withering away in our dusty lands. I hear we've had the warmest weather in Sweden the past two weeks, which is inspiring news, hehe.

My nephew has stayed with us for a week, a very demanding kid, so I've spent entire days with him playing nothing but games. Maud left on Tuesday, he left on Saturday, Maud will be back the Tuesday after this one for a grand cloud-berry picking finale. It's that time of the year up here. After cloud-berries, blueberries, then lingon-berries, and then hmm... the berries similar to Strawberries? My English vocabulary is viciously fading at irregular intervals.

And did I mention I finally got my drivers license? It feels - GREAT. Got to ride away now, tasks complete, and dinner waiting when I get back. Big blue clouds closing in as well, a menace to my peaceful voyage back. See you later croc.

Bigger Blogs

Over at NG, there are currently just over two hundred thousand blog posts. Probably more than half of these would in normal cases not be considered blog posts. They consist of only videos or pictures. Or one-line phrases, statements, quotes and elemental de-propaganda. Or other things. Out of all blogposts not many more than half exist anymore, the other half have been deleted, the deleted half consisting of more intimate blog-posts, mentions of real life, questions, answers, honest ramblings. Or illegal content, rightfully deleted by the administrators. I don't understand people who delete blogs. I keep all my blogs, even the blogs I later look back at and wonder why I wrote them at all. The blog-posts consisting of one-line phrases, the blog-posts I wrote just to write, the news I no longer find relevant, opinions in the past that don't match the current once I conceal, cte (put that back-words, just for the strangeness in it).

Outside newgrounds the blog population is dominated by WordPress, looking at the total download numbers reaching far beyond the million and the number of host that offer pre-installed WordPress software to all server customers, it seems that at least half of the WORLD uses this system. The other half is dominated by free communities such as Freewebs, Geocities and Blogger, who offer blog scripts of their own. Here, on this site, you might notice that a small "Written in WordPress" line phases the bottom of the screen. That's right, despite my seniority I'm part of the vast majority, but I don't mind, I'm a different one of my kind. The one who reinvents the wheel only to buy a brand new SUV. Huzzah!

It’s My BIRTHDAY!!!

And I'll be 20! :D This is a scheduled message, so I am not here right now, but please send me something after the end of blog post whitespace leap. HUZZAH!

Lolcode

LOLCODE is an esoteric programming language inspired by the language expressed in examples of the lolcat Internet meme. The language was created in 2007 by Adam Lindsay, researcher at the Computing Department of Lancaster University.

The language is not clearly defined in terms of operator priorities and correct syntax, but several functioning interpreters and compilers already exist. The language has been proven Turing-complete by the implementation of a Brainfuck interpreter.

Wikipedia gives you all the info on this revolutionarily simple to me previously unknown scripting language, and if you are intrigued by the Brainfuck programming language you may read more about that as well - right here. I'll provide you with an example structure of how lolcode is executed below:

(b) Short Report

Summer came at last, a wave of heat that left my skin burning after just a few hours climbing on stoney cliffs, looking down at the lake, our house, a large river on the other side of the mountain, and the small road running through the countryside beside it. The wilderness is undefiable. My second drive up didn't go to well, I missed a stop sign, stupid mistake. Next available time was the 29th/June, but I'll be in Kangos helping my grandmother with this winters supply of burnable material then, so I'll have to wait all the way till the 16th/July, bummer. We'll be celebrating her birthday the 4th, mine the 10th, my sister is coming up the 13th, mothers birthday is the 18th. My cousin David is turning 16 (I think) in five days, we're leaving for Kangos tomorrow btw. Always great with many happenings. :)

I'm searching for a cheap car and apartment up in the north of Sweden atm, but can't seem to find one, summer isn't the best of times to search for property, prises always rise as the tourists arrive, and sink again during winter. So I'll be waiting a bit. In the meantime I've been chopping up wood, chopping down trees, and slicing up grassy fields. Great pass-times. Not much going on worth mention to you peoples online, just daily chores and more. Happy midsummer btw!!
