Had you ever heard of Percival Lowell before?! Neither had I.

It turns out he died November 12, 1916 and was under his lifetime particularly interested in Korea and Japan. His sister was a well-known Imagist poet and critic and he moved to Flagstaff, Arizona in 1894. Which was a great place for astronomical observations, which by a coincidence was just the reason he moved there! The reason I am mentioning this maybe in Arizona or the US well-known man is that todays google logo, after some intense research was apparently dedicated to him. On a completely unrelated side note today is his birthday. So happy birthday Percival!
