Macromedia
In 2006 the international company Adobe bought Macromedia, ending the 10-year era Macromedia held monopoly over the flash market (I liked them though, and I missed them when their era ended). Here is a list of all flash trials that were availible for download on the macromedia website through the years. They are not restricted at all, but will stop working after 30 days.

Despite my dislike for Adobe, I do use their software. You should do the same if you wish to stay up-to-date. These programs will work fine, but they do not have AS3 support or many of the other features the newer programs do.
