Times To Appriciate

Pile Of T-Rex Crap :(Dull Like Cardboard :|This Is Pretty Good :)Woo Yeah Great! :LGODDAMN DIVINITY! :D

All times are special. Maybe you find yourself looking at the clock sometime, noticing that the digits have fallen on exactly 00:00, and thinking "Woo, what a coincidence!". I know I do, in fact it happens to me a lot of times, and each time it happens the experience brings something positive with it - a small dose of happiness - a simple kick of adrenaline - or maybe, just a quick grin. The ultimate combination of numbers in my world of coincidental times is 13:37, Internetal slang for leet (elite). I don't speak Internetal slang commonly, but this specific number has stuck in mind, and seeing this very specific and rare combination of numbers is a prime time of day. I mean, what are the odds?! Actually the odds aren't that small at all. Depending on what kind of watch you have (one that shows all twenty-four hours using the numbers 1-12, or one that actually goes all the way from 1  - 0 (twenty-four steps) ) there will either be 720 or 1440 possibilities. I don't know how often the average human being checks the current time, but I probably do this a lot less than most people, maybe ... 40-80 glances at the time per day ... sound reasonable? I have no abnormal rush, normally never count seconds... though that would open the door to a lot more of coincidental possibilities.

Anyhow, I thought I'd list a few of those special times, the ones that should at least make you at least go "Oh" when they appear. If you don't have time to think anything when you're rushing to your job at 120km/h, seven minutes late, at 13:37, shame on you, you'll be getting so much less pleasure from life than you could be getting. ;) And remember, time doesn't leave, it comes.

All new hours! Every time new primal digit is the start of something new, be it sunrise, lunch break or dentist appointment, it doesn't matter, they are irrevocably important and notable.

1:00, 2:00, 3:00, 4:00, 5:00, 6:00, 7:00, 8:00, 9:00, 10:00, 11:00, 12:00, 13:00, 14:00, 15:00, 16:00, 17:00, 18:00, 19:00, 20:00, 21:00, 22:00, 23:00, 24:00

Doubles. Aint that amazing? Same hour, same minute, woah, what are the odds of that! Odds are, in my case, about 21/278...

01:01, 02:02, 03:03, 04:04, 05:05, 06:06, 07:07, 08:08, 09:09, 10:10, 12:12, 13:13, 14:14, 15:15, 16:16, 17:17, 18:18, 19:19, 20:20, 21:21, 23:23

Triples. If you're watch is un-digitital or happens to skip the zeros, lucky you, these five great combos can then come into your life and cause you endless greatness!

1:11, 2:22, 3:33, 4:44, 5:55

Quadruples. Even better than triplets!

00:00,  11:11, 22:22

The 1337 number. There's only one, you're chance of seeing this in a day is at least 1/720 (or more, depending on how often you check the time)

13:37

Number writings. Stuff like the above, use your mind, be inspired. When the time shows 8:08, I'll think BoB (my name). There are quite a few of these, probably, but I can't think of a single one at the time of typing...

Reversibles. Symmetry is a form of art, as much with digits as with anything else, so the following times are always great passing.

10:01, 20:02, 12:21, 13:31, 14:41, 15:51

Sequences. Just three of them, you'll be lucky seeing even one on an average day.

12:23, 23:45, 01:23

Event specific. Need to get up at 7:00? Go to sleep at 23:00? Eat at 14:00? Pick up Lisa at 21:37? Great numbers, though they don't leave as much to change anymore ... unless you're living by automated routines. If you are, tell me how you made it, I'm all ears.

So, that's probably all the times I have time for today. See you some time!
