It used to be a bowl
Of clearblue water so wide and grand
Now it's just a hole
Filled with rocks and grainy sand
It sinks down through the shadows
Well out of my view
And every morning by sunrise
It fills its soul with dew
It shines and sparkles in the sun
It drips and melts in its heat
The rivers flow like lines on one
Individual so bitter sweet
And once a year when the rainclouds tear
And a soft cascade of tears slowly fade
The hole fills up and the water's clear
A giant basin of mountains made
And it sweeps me in like a wave of virtue
Th sweeps me without storm
The giant lake that used to be
And both we, are reborn |
