The Mighty Net #4

It's the new era. Television and the Internet have bonded and many great channels filled with entertainment are rising into this world. This is one of them, but you should also take a look at

- My Digital Share . Com

Not satisfied with the above? There are plenty alternatives for you to see. A YouTube like clone that has been constantly growing for a while now is

- Daily Motion . COM

Btw, I think I haven't mentioned anything about the one website that started this FLV online madness. You probably all know it, but if you don't, then you must go take a look at

- You Tube . COM

Need something even more simple? With a name that you can remember and type in just a few seconds? Well go take a look at

- Gooba . COM

The only downside to this website is their slow servers and semi-crappy layout, but you'll get over it after a while. Another nice website filled with entertaining videos is

- SnotR . COM

This is a side project mininova, the torrent giant, have been working on for a while. It is two things that YouTube and the other cloned giants won't ever be - fast, and simple. All the videos are approved by admins, but no matter, you can submit your own, and there are thousands to watch. More added daily. Tired of Dump, Gecko, Putfile, CrapVille and all the other tiny spammish entertainment portals? Then this is for you. Only quality, and lots, lots, of quality.

Feel like download a few videos from any of the big sites were media only arrives in streamed packages? Not possible? Of course it is, try this nifty video downloader script at

- Javimoya . COM / youtube_en.php

And if their server goes down you can always search for more at

- Google . COM

That's all for now, until next edition of The Mighty Net

Week 4

Another semi-progressive week. Other than me posting blog-posts like a madman over at newgrounds I haven't been doing much important work. I've been looking around for amusing jobs, writing comments/reviews/poems, watching movies (an average of 1-2 movies per day) and doing a fair amount of exercise daily. I don't look any better than previously, but I feel much better, not as stiff as earlier, my bodily connections don't crack every morning and I'm slowly getting stronger... so if I keep this up I'll be in great shape in a month or two. I've been combining exercise with movie watching, so at least that's a step towards efficiency. Standing on a balance board lifting weights, doing squats, boxing and stretching during the movie, then doing sit-ups and push-ups during the breaks (positions from which I can't see the TV screen, hehe). It works good. I read somewhere that it's easier to concentrate when in movement too, and it definitely seems that way. Don't know if it's just my imagination or if I really do remember more of the movies than I used to.

Anyhow, the snow has melted and the sun is shining fiercely, and that makes me happy. The world seems like such a warmer place. I've been going out for long walks each day too, across the barren golf course in progress, to the birdwatchers tower and back. About jobs, I've been thinking about working as a web-designer or translator, if I can get a job within those sectors. Preferably in a position that allows me to work at home, but I'll probably have to chose something from an alternative genre with more choices. I'm getting together the papers I need to start driving for my license, and me and my dad are going on a course next week, which is obligatory here in Sweden to start driving. Seems like just another way for the state to earn money, but whatever, the license last a whole lifetime so these expenses now don't matter much at all.

Hmm... what else... that's about it. I've read out two books as well, and played a shitload of Worms World Party. Ever since I started creating my own levels I've been hooked, bad habit, I shall break free today and spend next week without play okay. I'll post a few levels here when I finish them. Oh, and I was to my cousin Davids house on Friday, ate great snacks played games until I couldn't relax, we sat in the sofa like stiff artifacts, with wax in our ears and power to the max. Blasting around in cars and jet-packs. The End.

Week 3

The third week of the new year passed by, so here's a new semi-unentertaining blog-post for all visitors to read. The time just flew away like a swarm of bumblebees. I've been watching about 3 movies per day/a few anime episodes and spending the remaining time on newgrounds posting photoblogs, comments, forum posts and reviews. I don't feel like I've been as efficient as I could have been. Anyhow, the snow has melted away here and even though it's just a few degrees above zero the sun has been shining and it feels so warm I could walk outside without any additional warming clothing layers.

On Monday I had the rerun for my previously failed Japanese History before 1868 test, and it went a whole lot better than the previous one. Last time I studied for four days, this time twice as long. Last time was the first time I'd flunked a test in who knows how many years, so it was kind of devastating, but hopefully I passed this time. Am awaiting the test results tensely. Eh, on Friday I was at my friend buddy Bears house, watched a couple of movies, played chess, ate, talked, had a great time. Other than that there hasn't been much going on. Stay tuned for a hopefully more eventful blog-post in seven days. ;)

Return To House On Haunted Hill (2007)

The house is back to capture and kill everyone who inhabits it. This time the people visiting the house are on a hunt for hidden treasure, driven by money, just like before. More monsters, and flashbacks into the all their deaths. The main character is the daughter of one of the survivors in the prequel. The movie isn't as scary as the previous one, not at all.

The scenes are more gory, the events all take place quickly after one another and the house seems less insane than it did previously, now it's just haunted, and with a good will. The ghosts aren't ghosts, they're walking corpses, solid figures. Through the story all the events are explained, the people on the treasure hunt try to give reasons as to why things happened as they did, and the crazy doctor himself doesn't seem as mad as he did before.

Everything is nicely filmed, and sure, it has some horrifying moments in it, but basically it's just the first part once more, with everything different. The creators have been careful to switch all previous styles of murder, methods of escapes and means of intrusion to something new, and it just makes everything so predictable, all except the ending. The characters have shallow personalities, the storyline is a simple one and it just doesn't have the same amount of suspense as the prequel.

In this one it's just all blood, guts and murder. Feels like they made a sequel based simply on popular demand, the new one is just here to sell and generate cash, not to terrify or inspire. No creativity in this one. The atmosphere isn't the same as in the first, it's much brighter, much clearer, and the special effects seem even crappier than they did in the last one. Even the music has a more adventurous style to it, not one of despair and darkness. If you've seen the prequel, don't expect much of this. If you haven't seen the first one however, this will probably give a you a great deal of entertainment. It's a good movie, just not a good sequel. Sequels are supposed to be better.

At the very least, they're supposed to be as good as the original.

Sicko (2007)

The American world of medicine and health-care sure is a troublesome one. This is a great insight in social services, personal economy and the gigantic medicine companies that control everything. You'll learn a lot from this, especially if you live outside America. It's amazing how big a business this really is, and how much of the government they control and how different medical care is in different countries. Everything is nicely filmed, the narrator tells us everything smoothly, everything is easy to understand.

You Kill Me (2007)

The comical story of an icecold killer with a drinking problem and a lack of friends.

Due to a job messed up he has to take a trip to New York, where he starts working as a dressup artist for dead people. He meets people. Things happen to him. And guess what happens? Well I won't tell you, don't want to spoil the fun now, so you better watch it yourself. It's not an insanely funny movie, it's more one of those normal movies, with unordinary events, but nothing exaggerated, nothing unreal. There wont be any parts where you laugh at loud, but it's one of those movies you can watch through with a smile on your face the whole time, almost.

Xotics Cyberdevil

Here's me as Xotic portrayed me. Twas a long time ago, in a 'Draw Me' thread, but it was long lost and forgotten until just decently found, heh. Do ya see the resemblance? I love the facial expression, lmfao :2
