#253 Crazeful Earth

A tree falls down, and it blocks my view
A tree stump struck, it falls in two
The needles burn, the ones of pine
And this world mourns, for one of mine

A tree blows down, its crown astrew
A plum tree struck, it falls into
The pond beyond, all worldly hate
its surface still, as rage grows late

Immune to fire and surrounding craze
The pond stays still, at peace for days
The war can't reach it, can't breach it's face
Of undeniable calm

But as time passes, in mankind's palm
The heart surrounding, does start devised
And as the masses, flood all alms
The lake surrounding, gives up and dies

But a memory, a folktale for
The future outcasts of sleepless war

#252 Presumably Peace

With tides to come
Of summer past
The waves of ice
Sweep in at last

They chill the sand
And leave a stand
Of winter grand
And will remain

With spring to rise
With fall at all
The world in spice
Presumes to call

A listener less
Observer past
The future dressed
In white at last

A piece of peace
A roar for war
With ageless rage
And more in store

The age of free
The time so fond
Will come and be
And last, beyond

#251 Waves Of Moonlight

I can feel the seasons
Leave without reasons
Leaves swirling by
Snow smiling
Falling outside the sky

I can see its treason
As a plea in vein
And I feel its shame
Still the snow
Falls whitely outside windows

Melting on heated glass
Dribbling off the window panes
Sizzling in the dimmed sun
Shining yet
Till summer comes

A spring to launch - to free
The sky
Big blue clouds pass
The background
Bye!

A dampened rain falls
Upon the earth
Unholy
Proud
They strike upon me softly, and say

"Another time, another day"

#250 An Eye To Life

I like my life
The like of life
Was never seen
By hungry eyes

Eyes like to live
I like to give
My eyes the right
Amount of life

#249 Damp & Paying

When we cry
When rivers form
And drown into
The coming storm

Our hope must die
Our freedom born
Outside the helms
Of hope

We try to cry
We try to cope
We live and die
On life we choke

Of death we drink
With open eyes
It's not the way
It's just our price

#248 Stooping Below

I thought I could not
Stoop so low
yet stoop so low
I did

I stooped so low
I could touch my toes
Back when I was
A kid

Stooping lower than I did
Than
I thought I would not ever
Do again

But listen now
And hear, my friend
Of how low I could
Stoop

When I needed a job
I went to see
A friend of mine
Who sailed the sea

He was his boss
His name was Ross
He had a boat
Out by the dock

I tossed him over
With a friendly grip
Stole his boat
And gave him the slip

I never returned it
I sold it to
A buddy of mine
Who I too knew

We had many parties
We had much fun
After my lowstooping
Days begin

We sat at the bar disk
We sat under sun
And basked in his fathers
Money

Then when I realized
I'd taken enough
I took a few pictures
And packed my stuff

And blackmailed him
For a fortune small
Until he had no will
To live, at all

On the side
I arranged a scam
Selling fantastic potions
For the impotent man

Time passed so fast
And here I stand
Below my toes
With grands in hand

Thinking about
The choices I chose
And all that I
Will choose

Grasping the cash
In a clasp of wrath
That I will never
Let lose

And so I live
Past what I did
Still wishing I
Could rise

Past my toes, my knees, my noes
And higher up
Into the skies
