Played through a little freeware game called EverEternal WinterWorld a few days ago. Apart from the final bosses, two of them in a row without save point (well there might have been one, but I didn't bother climbing up to it) the game was a breeze, and a lot of fun as well. Even though it's short (you can play through it in a couple of hours if you don't get stuck) you get a lot of bang for the buck (wait a minute, there is no buck, it's free). Things like four guns throughout the game, all with three upgradeable levels, a bunch of different objects, retro-pixelish scenery, good music, clear sound effects, varied enemies and obstacles and a talking friendly pot to guide you through the hardships.
Overall it's a good game, quick and entertaining, and here's a gallery of my play-through to prove it. Oh, and a download below that, it has my savefile in it with the game saved just before the final boss... in case you don't feel like playing through the whole game from the beginning. If you do, just start a new game. ;) You don't need to install it btw, everything runs fine as is within the included folder. That's one good thing with freeware games, they never complicate things that don't need to be complicated. Anyway, enjoy the game and gallery! Download at bottom of post.
