I just finished playing Quake 2, and it turns out I've finished it before! I realized this right after the boss fight, when I blasted through a suspect wall and arrived in a gallery of game creators and a throne on which the big bad boss was sitting with a pair of succubus in his lap and another pair of male slaves beside them. I remember this scene especially because last time I played I tried getting some good screenshots of this secret place, but it didn't work! This time around it did! I don't know if it's because I'm running a new OS (Win 7 64-Bit as opposed to the old Win XP 32-Bit) or a different program for taking screenshots, but whatever it was it's working. So here you go, this is what the game looks like after the final boss fight.

Oh this is just a loading screen where things are constantly exploding in the background. If you don't want to spoil the ending, don't continue reading this post. There's a save file with the final levels/secrets/etc at the end, btw. Moving on...

Cause I just realized I haven't posted in a while. To be continued...

I was going to write about how good day today was yesterday, but I didn't, so I'm writing this now. It was one of those days where everything was just perfect. The sun was shining. The air was fresh. I got an A+ on one of my courses from last semester, and I reached 14,000 posts at the NG BBS. I even woke up in time for... breakfast. Yeah.

I started the day working on a flash project I've had in the making since yesterday, a list and gadget displaying all the levels and auras at NG. It's up now and you can view it here. Nobody's made a flash like this since the last level set (and the NG wiki doesn't list levels anymore), so it's about time. It went well, and so far it's met only good reception.

Initially I wanted to spam the hell outta the portal, like I did before (ah, good times), but I think I'll settle for quality this time around. A shitload of quality. Hrrm. Or not, just an impulse I get sometimes. In other news, the new layout is up and running, and I just abandoned my themes from past years. I'll post a post with downloads to those within the month. They're all completely bugging and with tons of absolute links (to cut down on server load, instead of PHP requests) so you probably wouldn't be interested anyway. But... if you are, anyway, keep a look out. I'll see you later.
