Inktober #27 - Rockstar Inc

AKA Dreaming, The State Of All, Rockstar Ink...

Yeaaah!
Cyberdevil! Mimeo!
Uh! Here we go, yo!

Olschool! Rock and roll dude!
Let's stroll this road too, yeaaaah!
Throw some worldview, off the verdure...

0:22

Dreaming... of a world where I make more money than the average bloke
But as soon as I dream such things I feel evil seething and I'm glad that I am more woke.
Though the anti-woke movement killed the waking movement in that word like Coke killed Mary.
I just hope you keep an open stereo, and blare out the music that spoke to you really! (LOUD)

( I'm just a nobody with old shoes!
Going all Inktober with these dope tunes!
Staying in these rags like I'm an old dude!
Bagging the prose in those like it's a dope room!

Here with Eamon! Improv demon!
Rockstar lean with the strings - I screaming!
Kings of The City with the meanest meanings!
Bleed these speakers! Feel defiance!
)

I don't really know!
What I'm doing with my life, but the world it rolls, so here we go!
I just want control!
I keep following the vibe like I lost my soul - know it's not optimal!
All that really is!
Is a chase for the grit, the rush, the riffs - relics of our tripping!
Will it ever fit?
The wig you wear! It's hairy in here and my beard is slipping!

1:20

The world is in a bad place these days!
All these trials and tribulations we face!
Say we keep evil at bay but the ocean's rocking!
Bigots in bungalows filling open pockets!

The road to fortune's lined with regrets!
All these dominoes on the streets!
Filing down to this hole on the ground - strolling with crowns -
Shake or a frown and it's off to the deep end!

...

I just want to emcee, I want to be free,
I feel beats like a Morse code *beep beep*,
Living dazed like I wake from a deep sleep always.
But my deep state's secret!

In the Matrix acting like a beatnik.
See no purpose in anything - no meaning.
Beyond emceeing I keep scheming in Stockholm.
I always write so I hope I'm not wrong yeaaah...

Fast & Furious 3 - Tokyo Drift (2006)

Fast & Furious 3 - Tokyo Drift (2006)

Wish more people would've liked the third Fast & Furious as much as I did, cause holy shit was it a good one.

It had emotion, like the first. It had flashy cars, like the second. Yet it had something entirely new - not just a style of driving but a culture, and a character, and some of the most memorable road-based sequences of the entire franchise.

They may not yet have been into the big stunts like they were after this, but it was big to me when I first saw it, and still now, though it's definitely one of those see-it-at-the-right-time-and-it's-all-the-more-amazing movies, like in your teenage years, cause I do believe it was more of a teenage movie than the previous two... there's a lot of school, and there's a girl involved.

In a way it feels like the typical Shonen anime, but with driving as the main theme. A bit like Initial D but: not all about the racing either.

As far as I'm concerned this was the last one of the best three movies of this franchise. It felt polished. It felt wholesome. It felt real.

You felt embarrassed for the main character just like you did for Brian in his first race too - it's like they started from scratch again, with a parallel universe of racing, and then it somehow all connects after all. Or maybe that's a parallel universe Dom too...

The plotlines start getting chaotic and twisted after this, but for now the final cameo fit right in, and I recognize Shin'ichi Chiba as the big bad Yakuza boss now too! Not sure I knew him last. This still: is a blast.

From the past! Yepp. But right now too.

Inktober #27 - Rockstar Inc (2:06)

Fast & Furious 2 - 2 Fast 2 Furious (2003)

Fast & Furious 2 - 2 Fast 2 Furious (2003)

This was so much flashier than the first one, but so much FUN, too!

It still feels real, and still about the cars, but also about Miami and the party life and ladies and the threat level... is different.

The villain's a more lavish-living one now, and the feel reminds me a bit of The Transporter, more so than the first F&F movie. And although they are still popping engines at the garage, even have more of these stars, and Jin always had bars... they don't really delve into the details now. They don't mention WHAT is under the hood - they just show it.

Did they feel like the details were overkill in the first one? Is there only so much you can say about the components in a car/what more there's under the hood apart from the engine?

I kinda liked the overboard stuff though.

This was more of a party movie for sure, but it is good.

Brian and Rome's relationship feels wholesome too - feels like he got almost unnecessarily professional in the sequels - the bickering's all gone now.

In a way the plot progression's similar to the first, in how they have two diverse main characters who bond over the course of the movie, and a girl, too, though unfortunately they never really get into anything...

Once upon a time I probably felt like that was refreshing. Like movies don't NEED a real relationship to be a good movie. Funny how you that changes on you as life changes.

Of all the Fast & Furious movies It think this one might actually be a favorite, even if it's in many ways also simpler.

Maybe it's because of Eva Mendes, the eternal beauty. It was nice to see her make a cameo again at the end of the fifth movie too.

Maybe it's because of Ludacris and Suki? I wish Suki would make a comeback too.

Maybe it's because of the cars! There's a good mix of both modern street cars and classic American muscle - but flashier than ever. They're colorful.

Maybe it's the script. Rome throws out some of his best lines in this one - and truly cements him as one of the fundamental figures in the franchise.

Maybe it is the simplicity too. Sometimes simple's good. It really worked here. The movie was bright and ferocious and FUN, and though I do appreciate Dom coming back in as a main character later on Brian wasn't a bad choice here. He could lead too. He's got the charm too.

Of course when the whole gang is gathered the dynamic, and relationships between individual characters in the group change, but it's a bit of a bummer Rome was turned into the comedic relief entirely after this.

His first appearance was bad-ass. Almost could've been a replacement for Dom too in the long run.

Also don't forget the theme songs! The first one wasn't all there in that department but now: soundtrack is truly bangin'.

Most memorable intro/outro in the series for sure.

Inktober #26 - We Were Crazy Once

AKA Crazy Drums...

Yeah! Cyberdevil, MrKuivahiiva.... We once were, a little, out there... yeah.

I was crazy once! When I played my drums!
Got a marching band tom up in fourth grade!
I have a djembe now! Asked for a bongo but
The folks got me a drum I didn't want - it's strong as fuck though!

And what the fuck you know! Of drumming a pot or stove!
Of drumming on your own chest till you crack a rib!
That really happened kids! Harry Mack might've done it better
Me I rap and I stack Inktober tracks like Pharrell madder chedder

Always was a go-getter! When I was in my dreams!
Another life might've been a Finn or in a guillotine!
We always were a little crazy! Us banal and bitter Swedes!
Ever feel the rage flush your face when the wisdom leaves?

I don't know if I ever felt that though...
Only get a little crazy when I rap and tap into a mad flow!
But even real young when my fare here had just begun...
I got psyched when I heard the drum drum drum.

I mean psychotic and insane! Binging chips like I can't gain!
Fat like I stashed twenty bags in my labcoat!
Factoids floating out my ears - and in that dope!
Bop bop! That is what I want on my last woke!

I mean wake - woke is over. It's too late!

THE HUMAN FUTURE

Somehow even our potential future utopia seems dystopian to me... gigantic cityscapes with scrapers that rise towards the stars? Immortality? Humanity colonizing the galaxy? Being able to fully harness the energy of the stars...? I'm not sure these are truly good things after all...

These videos do be impressive though.
