A high school secret spy drama with Samuel Jackson... who would've thought! He's the mentor. The main character's played by Hailee Steinfeld, and Jessica Alba the villain.
It's a bit corny, but not as cliche as I thought... or maybe I just don't usually watch movies of this sort. I'm reminded of Naked Soldier in the introductory scenes - little girls growing up to be secret agents, though this was in much more family friendly form than the former.
Our main character soon embarks on her first mission, but involuntarily fakes her death, escapes and ends up at school, where she eagerly learns all there is to learn about normal life. But of course, the agency is on her tail, the villain is still on the loose, and to complicate things even further - unexpected romance waltzes in!
Corniness set aside (I'm obviously not part of the intended viewer base), it wasn't bad. Good blend of comedy, romance, drama, and of which I wish there was more: action. Clever title too! Good watch.
rated 3/5: not bad
