Neeson's back at it again! Playing the working man, the family man, the man who tries his best to do the right thing yet is just constantly tread upon by the world... though this time in a somewhat more unconventional role.
An agent one.
He almost seems like Jack Reacher or John Wick sometimes.
This might be his most bad-ass performance yet, even though he suddenly seems to have grown old. He doesn't run so fast either. I hope he still has a few good movies left in him, cause this just might be one of his best ones yet.
The filming's crisp, there's a couple car chases - one with a dump truck, and bad-ass action moments a la Charles Bronson era. He keeps his cool all the way through too. What a character.
There's also a reporter, there's a nefarious FBI plot being uncovered, and there's a death, early on. All filmed so flawlessly. Feels like the gunfire's sometimes unrealistically sparse and plentiful, but for the most part this was way better than I expected.
The family element comes on the side a bit, sometimes it doesn't seem to weigh as heavily as it should have, but they got good actors for everyone; his granddaughter too.
Solid movie. Solid action. Solid all.
rated 4.5/5: almost awesome

This was pretty damn interesting. And yet, nobody's spoken! Be the first!
