32 Wads 02

32 Wads

Here's another batch of 32 wads for your playing pleasure! A little more open theme this week, where all levels feature lots of liquid areas, low ledges and long distance projectiles. Maybe it'll be a bit harder than the other one, heh, and I like open areas. With Doomsday you'll be able to jump out of the low pits easily, but without it you'd better watch where you step, even water harms you when you touch it here. IOW, you can't swim. :P

Google Pacman, Here

Did I post about this earlier? I hope not, the news is Google Pacman is up here at CyberD, way over there. The gamepage I put up looks like this:

The Pacman Page

And here's my current record ... also recorded on the page above. ;)

Go play! Have fun! Enjoy! Entertain yourself!

Corrupt Pokemon Yellow

A few months back, or more, I tried trading a Pokemon through the Yellow to Gold game. It didn't work, and discouraged as I was I stopped playing the game for a while. Picked it up yesterday to continue my quest in Pokemon yellow and believe it or not, the Pokemon I tried to trade is corrupt!

Corrupt how, you ask? Well it shows up as a mess of black and white pixels in battle, indistinguishable, and when you try viewing it in the profile it shows up at nothing as all. It has one attack, though I'm pretty sure it had more earlier, and the ID, EXP, etc fields are all completely empty. To top it off, it has no name, and shows up as a completely blank space below all the Pokemon I carry. If I switch it with one of the top Pokemon in the list, all Pokemon below it show up as blank!

I'm pretty sure the Pokemon I was trying to trade was an Ivysaur, which means I won't be able to get all 150 Pokemon unless I start a new game. I've already caught more than a third of all Pokemon though so that just seems like a big waste of time and effort. Also, I've tried transferring the Pokemon to Bills PC to make room for more Pokemon, but it won't work. I can't move it, and since it's not in the box I can't release it either. To make things worse, it shows up as poisoned (maybe that's why it went corrupt when I tried to trade? IDK), and for every few steps I take the screen flashes.

I've been to the PC, it won't heal. Nor can I give it an antidote, so that sucks. Though on the bright side it'll give me a pretty good handicap, one slot less in the space for Pokemon to carry, so if I really complete the game sometime in a distant future, that would be pretty sweet. On an unrelated note, why doesn't Vaporeon accept the thunderstone? Anyhow, that's all for my Pokemon adventures this year, I probably won't be playing the game again in a long time.

32 Wads 01

32 Wads

Anybody still play Doom? If the answer is no, you won't need to read the rest of this post. Or, you can start playing Doom... and keep reading. ;)

I for one still can't get enough of the game. Even though the quick and bumpy motion makes me nauseous if I play the game for too long times, I keep playing. I started making WADs way way back, but didn't get far, now I've been at it again since a while back seeing as the wadding & modding community pretty much died down during the past few years and I can't get my hands on any new and funky fresh levels, so for those of you who still want play I'll be posting a 32-level level pack each week for the following 32 weeks. If you know Doom you'll know that the WADs are for Doom 2, and you really should get the Doomsday Engine if you want to get the most out of this game.. and these levels.

All levels are made with Oblige, a random level creator that whoops together a definable amount of levels in a mere minute (one, one episode, or 32 episodes for Doom 2). I'm not saying I don't take credit for these WADs, I do, I fiddled with the settings, generated the WADs & I'm now hosting them here at CyberD, but I'd like to give a big pile of thanks to the program and its creators! I've made levels before and the process takes time, tons of it, with this you can throw together a batch and start playing in no time at all! If you want to create your own levels, Google 'Oblige level generator', it should be at the top of the list. If you'd rather just fire up this pack of WADs and play some, you'll find a quick preview and download below. Have fun!

Donkey Kong Land III Coral Quarre

Been playing the game for maybe half an hour at night each day for maybe a week now, and after starting a new game I've reached up to 102%. ;) First you run through all the levels and beat K. Rool. After the credits and the "Is it over?" message you then collect all the coins and enter the Lost World. In the lost world you play through another batch of levels and collect all the coins again to fight K. Rool once more, at his Last Stand level. If you manage to beat him, again, he'll give you six more watches (you'll have six yourself) and you can try speed-running twelve levels for further enjoyment, taking you from 97% of the game completed, to a full 103%! I'm guessing, since I'm up at 102% and there's just one more level left. Hehe, wonder if another set of credits will play once I'm done?

Anyhow, Coral Quarrel is the level I have left, and seeing as I reach the goal 40 seconds late even after way too many tries I'm thinking there must be some secret passage in the game, but the Internet won't give me an answer! Apart from a couple of FAQs on the game, a pretty good entry at the Super Mario Wiki and some basic game entries on other sites, the silence is overwhelming. Posted the question at YA, so let's see if someone has a solution...
