Sultan Of Persia

Sultan Of Persia

Sultan of Persia is an adventure/puzzle game in which you travel through a maze and solve various puzzles along the way in order to marry the kingdoms lovable princess. It's mostly a 'find the hidden objects' game, but the puzzles do vary. All the while they are simple and easy to solve, if not on the first try then on the second. It's easy to play through, and it might be fun, but in general it is more of a kids game than it is a game for me.

Mortimer Beckett And The Time Paradox

Mortimmer Becket And The Time Paradox

Mortimer Beckett and the Time Paradox is a game like the above, with a different plot, and this time various locations you can move to. The plot follows on nicely, you can chose to receive a hint when you need one, there is no time limit and the graphical detail level is high. The story is a pretty well made one as well, though very experimental, and it's fun following the storyline through. This game is more like Monkey Island than the ones above, a point and click adventure with a storyline behind it, with good cut scenes and varied locations. The only thing missing is the comedy. But I can't compare this game with the legendary Monkey Island, can I? Overall it's a good game, easy to play and interesting at start. If you like puzzle games within this genre, you will probably like this one as well.

Nightshift Legacy - The Jaguars Eye

Nightshift Legacy

Nightshift Legacy - The Jaguars Eye has a much cooler name than the game really is, kind of like the game reviewed above this one. The concept is the same, the plot is a bit different. You've crashed in the middle of the jungle and you need to find stuff. It seems that in games like this the developers try to build up the plot as intensely as possible to make up for the simpleness in the game plan itself, the game play isn't bad at all, it's challenging to find items if you aren't good at it and time runs out quickly if you click wrong things repeatedly. If you like this genre of puzzle games, great, this game is recommended. The sceneries are varied, there are two game play modes (arcade and adventure), plenty of levels and not a lot of time in each. I don't, though, it's fun for a while, but the fun runs out after a while for me. Despite the timer, you need to be patient in a game like this, a trait I lack.

Noahs Ark Deluxe

Noahs Ark Deluxe

Noahs Ark Deluxe is another simple puzzle game much like the above, but here you need to puzzle together pairs of animals to board the ship. They don't have to be beside each other, but there must be free space between them. There are many levels and a few different game modes to try out, and your progress can be saved. Yet another nice and simple time waster, with easy and smooth graphics and nice game play.

Tip Top Deluxe

Tip Top Deluxe

Tip Top Deluxe is like a remake of those classic one-armed bandit games where you pull a lever and try to get three of either a lemon, a bell or two cherries. Of course the items you needed to get three of might have varied, but to my knowledge those were the three classic ones (remember playing a really old machine once on a boat to England). In this game you already have an array of such items set up, and new ones drop down from above. You chose where they land, and when you get three of the same item together they disappear and you get points! The more of the same item you manage to gather, the more points you get. After a set of items the level ends, and the less there is left, the more points you get! So it's like a mix of arcade and puzzle, and a very entertaining one as such. The graphics are smooth, the sound effects are easy on the ears and the point system is well made. There are many levels, all varied and entertaining, and you can save your progress. It's one of those small and simple games that you can still play forever. Oh, and there aren't just bells and lemons and cherries, there are watermelons and oranges too, and more.

Mummy Maze Deluxe

Mummy Maze Deluxe

Mummy Maze Deluxe is a puzzle game in which you try to get through chambers without a mummy in the same chamber ripping you to shreds. For every step you move the mummy moves two. However, the mummy is pretty stupid and doesn't seem to notice the walls he runs into while trying to move in the same direction. Levels start out easy, but quickly get harder where you have to walk all over the place just to get to the exit right beside you without the mummy interfering. Simple, fun, with Egyptian music playing in the background. Overall a very good game! There are many levels to play through, all divided up into different pyramids (over a hundred total) and you can save your progress and unlock new levels or play through old ones whenever you like, which is good. If you want a game you can spend fifteen minutes on whenever you feel like it figuring out puzzles in an entertaining environment, this is recommended.
