Didn't expect this would be one of those Christian movies when I started watching it! And they got a quick Snoop Dogg cameo too. Who would've thought. After the brief intro though, where I'm already getting real B-movie vibes... well it goes downhill. All the way.
They did manage some pretty cool special effects, but the movie feels majorly inconclusive (they did ward off the demon - but what happened to everyone else? Where are the cops? Did the director wake up from his coma?), the drama queen drama felt all too fake, and the common bickering... what's the lure? It's like there's a group of Christians trying to depict something alluringly sinful, and it's not really working because they don't know how to? Or don't want to? Because they want to depict it as totally useless and trivial, though they also want to portray it as not?
If that's their intention they did succeed, though unfortunately it makes a large part of the movie ditto.
The main actors do an alright job, but it's all too drawn out, all too cliche; all too meaningless after all. If you're not really seeking revelation, I suppose.
Feels like a cheap version of The Exorcism of Emily Rose. Sort of. If you want real horror and religious epiphany both done well: see that instead.
rated 2.5/5: almost not bad

This was pretty damn interesting. And yet, nobody's spoken! Be the first!
