Equalizer 2000 (1987)

Ahh the eighties! The glorious, dusty, gritty, grimy dystopian eighties.

They've got action. They've got the typical tough guy (Richard Norton), and girl (Corinne Wahl), and gun. The one.

What more do you require than an Equalizer? v2000.

It's a little Mad Max-like. And it seems it could have had a similar budget too, though it doesn't come across the same. Not as good. Fly on camera after the 17 minute mark. A lot of shooting and little hitting the mark. But there is Robert Patrick! Albeit in a disappointingly common role.

It was fun to watch after all.

I love the style. I love the cars. I love the characters. Though it is a little disappointingly unimpactful, no matter how many explosions they pack in. The desperation's never really there. They're all just fumbling around, flying here and there, staring at each other and fingering their triggers.

Not the best movie of the era, but bad-ass premise and people.

And poster.

rated 3.5/5: not bad at all

This was pretty damn interesting. And yet, nobody's spoken! Be the first!
