Fairy Law failed. It only smites anyone the wielder truly recognizes as an enemy, and as it turns out Laxus doesn't truly see anyone as an enemy. His rage doesn't die down due to the failure, though, it just grows. When Fried arrives and tells him it's over the thunder flares up once again.
I don't care about that old man! I'm Laxus, that man has nothing to do with ME!
We all know that. Don't get all big-headed on us, dumbass. Does being the old man's grandson make you so special? So different? Don't you get hung up over some stupid blood relation! The guild is the only family we need!
How could you understand?
Do we have to understand to be your comrades? We reach our hands out to each other to get past that, Luxus!
Gajeel catches a lightning bolt and saves Natsu, again!
Finally, someone beats some sense into that buffoon!
Finally, the battle of Fairy Tail, is over.
Back at the guild, everything is back to normal. Makarov has recovered too, thanks to Polyushka-san (that pruple-haired woman), and the atmosphere is pretty bright.
Well, the atmosphere is bright until Laxus appears, but it doesn't look like he's there to fight.
MMM mmm mm m mhm mmm mhm mohm mhm mmmmhm MMhm HM!
Huh??
Gajeel translates:
I'm not settling for this two-on-one crap. Next time, you're going down for sure. You better fight me again sometime, Laxus.
Laxus walks past. Waves. I guess that's a promise.
You know what this guild is? It's a gathering place for comrades. It's an agency for missions. To some kids who don't have a family, it's even their home. It does not belong to you. The guild was built upon the trust and honor of each individual member, and that's how we have formed stronger and firmer bonds than you'll find anywhere else. You have violated that honor and put your comrades lives in danger. This is not a crime that I can forgive.
I understand. I just wanted to make this guild stronger.
Honestly, you really are an awkward guy. Let some of that tension out of your shoulders already, would you? If you do, you just might find yourself seeing things you've missed up until now. Hearing words that you've never heard before. Life is to be enjoyed, you know.
Laxus is expelled! Just like his father, Ivan, though it seems Laxus has realized what he did was wrong. Maybe we'll be seeing again.
It's a sad farewell.
Meanwhile, that mystery woman appears again and speaks to her master, Master Hades. We don't get to see him yet, but it's revealed the Tower of Paradise incident was just a distraction so he could retrieve a key to one of the three seals. 8 years for one key. Must be some key!
Oh, and the mystery woman ^ played the role of Zeref's ghost as well, when brainwashing Gerard. Turns out he was just a pawn in a much bigger plan. But back to the present, it's time for the Fantasia parade!
Gajeel hands over a note to Makarov. He's found the location of Ivan, Laxus father. Everything is going as planned, nobody knows he (Gajeel) is a double agent, pretending to work for Ivan and in truth working for Fairy Tail. Just hope he's not a triple agent. :)
Laxus is watching from an alley. He remembers a sign he created as a kid, to show Makarov that he was watching him when he passed by.
He starts walking away when ...
It's a sad farewell indeed. Hope it'll be a happy reunion some day!
This marks the end the first season. You hear that? All this in just one season! And what a great season it was. :) No next episode for now, I'm taking a break from these reviews until other projects are taken care of. So long.

This was pretty damn interesting. And yet, nobody's spoken! Be the first!
