Fallout is one of those games people seem to consider a classic, that I just can't re-consider. I loved the intro, but when that part's done and you start to delve into the actual game... well, that's where the experience ended for me. Here's the intro though.

Is an RPG adventure game, that will extent later on, some people say that you can jump directly into the late ones, but Fallout is a game with a rich story and world so, for those seeking an experience they will have to play the first ones. And here is when gameplay and storytelling enter to conflict because even if the newer games are indeed similar in principle they play and are experienced in quite the different manners. So is one of those franchise when you have to be responsible and ask yourself first, just what exactly is that you are looking for in these games, and where you yourself stand as a gamer.

True that. I gave it a shot since I'd heard great things of it, but it wasn't my type of game. I hear the third may be a different experience though!

As a gamer, I don't want to box myself in with only the genres I know I like, it's fun trying out new styles and ideas, innovative and creative and classic alike, sometimes I find gems; new favorites, sometimes not so! Btw, sounds like you've played the game? Did you get something out of it?

I have not played the game but i am no stranger to it, so i will get to it, however when i do i will do it for the story, not really for the playability of the game, not because i think that the gameplay is bad, but because RPGs are not my thing, however i like the story enough for me to play the games.

Ah, hoping to hear your thoughts at that time then. I like RPGs myself, but usually avoid them since they're taxing on time! I've abandoned quite a few over the years just because they didn't progress as fast as I wanted/needed. Breath of Fire, Golden Sun, Final Fantasy 7... all great games I immersed myself fully in for a few days but eventually had to take a break from, and after the break... interest didn't really pick up again.

Never finished Golden Sun? that is one of the only RPGs that i have played to the end, it was so long ago.

Yeah, I jumped ship somewhere around the lighthouse. Don't know why I never finished it, but it's like that with a lot of games, Pokemon titles too (which come to think of it are also RPGs).

Wait never finished a pokemon game? even one? not even the 1st 2 or 3 gens? and yeah those were also RPGs now that you think about it, but they felt more flexible, and less role play.

I've played maybe 7-8 Pokemon games, but I only finished Gold! Used to play that one during all breaks in 6th and 7th grade, and right before bed, and sometimes before school, and occasionally entire weekends... well, I got past Pokemon League and that guy in the cave, at which points credits roll, but never all Pokemon. Yaah, less focus on the character, but plenty of focus on the plot, even if it's more of a free-roam world. How about you? Any completed Pokemon games?

Red (Charizard and then Blastoise), Silver (Typlosion), Ruby (Swampert because everything else sucked Groudon was cool tho), and Diamond (Torterra in a DS emulator), mmmh wait i don't remember if i finished Silver, but my Typlosion was quite badass.

I played Ruby first, then Red, then Silver, then Diamond.

What other pokemon games, Rescue Team Red is probably the best pokemon game i have ever played, and is probably the only thing from the franchise that i may be willing to still play.

Impressive! Gold was the first one I played, and I completed it past Pokemon League a couple of times - if that counts as completion, starting over right after, and finally did give getting 100% everything a try. I still have the save, and quite a few beasts above level 80. Apart from that I've played Yellow, Blue, Red, Silver, Emerald, Ruby, DarkCry (yeah I know it's a fake), FireRed, HeartGold aaand... that's it I think. Since Gold, I've gotten the furthest into HeartGold. The originals were pretty difficult if I remember right, or maybe just really time-consuming... FireRed and HeartGold are probably favorites so far, but I still haven't even made it past the Leagues there.

What about the old games though? No good replayability?
