GOG's Big Fall Sale

Oooh, it's time of the year already! Time for the...

I remember spending way too many $$$ on this thing last year, back when it was called the Insomnia sale. And yes, I did lose sleep too! This year things don't seem quite as hectic, and they're giving away games for free, and another game for free if you check-in every day and collect a stamp. Check that out:

GOG is all about Good Old Games though! There's a ton of ancients on there, all tweaked with built in DOSBOX configs and stuff to work on both old and modern systems. ;) Ironically though they have no DooM or other idSoftware titles. It's one of the top games on their user wish lists so... hopefully they're working on working something out!

idSoftware, Bungie and Rockstar are three developers I really hope they'll get on board, wouldn't mind having some of teh old classics in my excessive collections... and playing some of them again, in their original unmodded/ported formsl with a buncha of potential extras that GOG are so fond of including... like previously unreleased WAD packs, maybe some Romero exclusives, all the extra episodes. :OOO Well I'll keep dreaming.

Oh hey, fancy stumbling upon this again. For anyone who reads this: GOG do have DooM now! And a lot of the other older iD titles. Interesting how it seemed so improbable it'd ever happen at one point in time... yet here we are! It's a groovier world already. :)
