Gone Girl (2014)

Here's a tale of marriage, with a twist... and one that doesn't end! It's like the start of a series, and I got hooked! I want to see the rest of it, but there's nothing coming! It's a search for something... but they never find it! It's a case... that's never solved! It's over, but it never ends!

I hesitated with watching this one because it had 'girl' in the title, as in: doesn't seem like a very masculine movie, didn't seem to be much about action. But it had a different kind of action. It was a surreal tale of relational struggle featuring Ben Affleck and Rosamund Pike, in which the latter disappears and the former goes searching, in which part of the narration is written in the form of a diary, in which the search is seen from both parties, the one alive, and the one presumed dead, and I wish to tell no more with risk that I might spoil the very bizarre, yet surprisingly clear and clever plot.

I didn't really like it, but all the same it blew my mind. It made me wonder, made me see people in new ways, made me question the future, the world... it defeats all attempts to review.
