Continental Drift. As always they manage to patch on a pretty exiting subtitle (yes I know that doesn't mean what it's supposed to mean in this context but wth). And this time it's not just false promotion either (as the title in the last movie); the continents really do move apart! Manny, Diego & Sid end up disconnected from Ellie & Peachy, and of course they have to join up again, so it's time for another grand adventure!
I guess they (as in the people behind these movies) realized that people were a bit tired of the family aspect in the last movie, so, they threw the original three main characters off on their own adventure, just like the original! Of course it's not as good as the original, though, or the second movie for that matter... or 'A Mammoth Christmas', but it's still a good movie. Moving on to plot the plot...
They (the original trio) spend a lot of time adrift on the sea. They meet a bunch of pirates. Diego finds a possible soul mate (voiced by Angelina Jolie! Woo!) and then they all get back... oh wait, no spoilers. Though I can use this tag for stuff like that.
Of course the squirrel is there too, no story without him. And his escapades just get crazier and crazier. :) I don't think I've mentioned him in the first movie btw, but all the movies start with him trying to jump a not into the ground and making something crack. First it was snow, then it was ice, then it was ground, now it's entire continents!
Though I still don't think any of these sequels match up to the first movie (you're probably getting tired of me saying that) it was a fun watch, and I look forward to seeing what they'll manage with the plot next time around. They've gone through pretty much all the major aspects of evolution already, so what's left? Space travel? Eminent Doom? Still, the movie can't end with 4 though... right? There will be a 5... right? Until then!

This was pretty damn interesting. And yet, nobody's spoken! Be the first!
