It's been a while since I saw a scary movie starring a supernatural beast as the main villain. Lately it's been more phenomenon than material... unless it's in some way shape or form human. And it's been a while since the last Jeepers Creepers movie too! 14 years! I'd forgotten this was what it was all about... if it was.
It would've been a pretty good sequel too if it wasn't for the effects: blood and smoke and broken ricochets that look like they could've been added in with After Effects. Not that professional studios don't use that program too. I mean this was like it could've been made by anyone with After Effects.
A solid production overall's brought down fast by flawed CGI, even if props and make-up otherwise are all on point. It's pretty exciting. It's violent too, in predictable ways, and has some old cars you might like to look at along with that particular breed of a beast, but in the end it just doesn't have that much new to contribute to the franchise. And it looks fake.
One more segment, good and bad. If you're a fan then have a crack at this sequel, if not: there are better scary movies to enjoy.
