In the third movie Po went on a journey to find his Chi. This time it's inner peace! And I was wrong about the last part of the trilogy just jumping back in plot-find mode again for the story: They actually hinted it in this one! It was planned, and it turned out great.
For some reason (because that's how they usually are?) I figured the second movie would be just a movie stuck in between the first and third. A sub-par piece of work. A segment of the franchise not quite as good as the one before it, and not quite as good as the one that came after (which really surpassed my exceptions recently).
But it was! It was awesome, and all according to the same formula, with a little bit of flashback animation in between the... normal. Wit. Drama. Emotion. Hate and Love and... Kung Fu! Woo!
Jack Black is just perfect in his role, as are the rest. Jackie doesn't say much but the little lines he does deliver in this one are alright. He's in the game, and they've got a convincing villain too; all that's needed for a pretty pompous showdown at the end! Tigress comes through well as well. They all bond, evolve, and at last... war is waged and peace is found.
The story? Something about a vengeful bird hellbent on destroying the Kung Fu world. You'll see. If you liked either one of the other two this one's definitely worth watching, and preferably in order if you want flashbacks and clues for the future in the right places. Great movie.
