Welsh choir set for stardom

A Welsh choir signed up by a top boy band manager could be set for Hollywood stardom.

Froncysyllte Male Voice Choir landed a major record deal after being ‘discovered’ at a wedding reception by Daniel Glatman.

Glatman, who managed boy band Blue, helped the choir sign to leading record company, Universal, reports the Daily Post.

And now British movie producer Zygi Kamasa has optioned the rights to the unique story of their rise to fame.

Kamasa, a producer on Bend It Like Beckham, believes the choir’s story could make a feel good movie to rival Calendar Girls or Brassed Off.

Meanwhile, the choir, with a combined age of 3,974 years, release their first commercial recording, Voices Of The Valley, on November 20.
