Midweek Ramblings

I just found out that our municipality is about to build a park in a little patch of woods behind our neighboring row of houses. It's not due until 2018, but I can already imagine our oasis of wilderness destroyed, subsequently infested by people, making this place a real shithole to live in. No more capercaillie resting on the little rocky mount behind the fence, in shelter of the brush. No longer a view of entangled trees and greenery, shifting through the seasons, which I can rest my eyes on momentarily while slaving away in my guestroom 'office'. Not to mention that the row of new apartments about to be built behind the park will have a direct line of sight into our house, as will all the people running around the grassy stretch. I hope they leave some trees at least...

That little slice of news completely killed my morning yesterday. That and the fact that my part-time work was canceled, again. But on the bright side I had some unexpected time to spare, and with that time I typed in all of summer's missing poetry! Two months worth of daily scribbles! I might've messed up the dates on some of the latter writings since I wrote them all over the place. On my cellphone, in my dairy, on a couple of other notebooks, in a .txt file... and not always with a date to match. But at least they're all there! I'm done! Next big task: fix up that music section.

In other news, I've caught up with Legend of Korra and started watching the Walking Dead again. I don't know why I started with the second when I'd just cured my addiction of it! But it was good. This season seems more promising than the one before it. At least I discovered Legend of Korra three full seasons after it begun, and won't need to follow it further than the end of the fourth (and final) season at the end of the year. Also recently started watching this little web-series. It's fan-made and well-made, so check that out if you have some time to spare or feel like it or happen to read DC comics and know who Nightwing is! I do now. Also, GOG's giving out Aliens vs Predator Classic 2000 for free! Check it out.
