Yeah they have changed, i like shotgun the most out of that cobra.
Fo' sure! I wonder how choosing that track for their one music video would've affected album sales. Might've given them more video shots too... it's like when Crazy Town chose Drowning from their second album, pretty much every track but that would've been twice the hit IMO. Sometimes I just don't get these people.
Weird, i was sure that if you can understand the new Linkin Park you can pretty much understand any artist XD.
But I can't understand the new Linkin Park either. :P I just respect the choices they take on their path, their personal progress as bonding with that band! And from the look of LPTV episodes they seem to be having a blast, so that's cool. Limp Bizkit didn't really have the same synchronized personalities, but the musical results = awesome.
Anyway, change is inevitable I think. If they kept making Hybrid Theory stuff... maybe I'd tired of them, IDK, my musical taste's mixed with nostalgia so it might be clouding my judgment, or maybe not. Feels all good artists keep going through creative phases, trying different styles, getting worse or better depending on who you are or ask... in a way I think their style changes as their life changes though. A lot of grungy bands have a hard time when they start out, and that's all reflected in their music, so of course the music'll change when things start looking up. Some bands never get that break though, like Therapy, they're still doing the same thing as forever!
Yeah Limp Bizkit had some down times as far as their band bonding goes, but at least they didn't did an overhaul of themselves.
Listening to Lightz... it almost sounds like it. :/ They've actually changed a lot between each album, just 3 Dollar BIll to Significant Other was a huge difference. Onto the Chocolate Starfish. Results May Vary. Then they tried going back to their old style a bit with Gold Cobra. Now it's changing again... but yeah, least it's always been the same genre!
