Resident Evil 4

I made it through the game in two days, normal difficulty. It was fun! Twas one of the greatest games I've played in a long time. The levels were varied, the monsters were varied, there were quite a few puzzles and the plot is unequelled. I never thought much about the game music, but it must have been good since I didn't notice it. In difference from the three previous games theres a mystery shop all through the game, and the owner also takes care of a humorous shooting range in which you get to blow wooden zombie figures in pieces and earn yourself some money. Money, gold and other valuable items can be found all through the game and sold/exchanged for new weapons, upgrades, etc. It adds a new dimension of strategy to the game, and a lot of extra fun.

The biggest difference between this game and the previous ones, though, is that this one doesn't have anything to do with Umbrella. Well, not much, only an Umbrella agent sent in to infiltrate the same mysterious cult you, Leon, are trying to save the presidents daughter, Ashley, from. This agent happens to be no other than Ada ( remember previous games? ). You don't choot zombies in this game either, you shoot normal humans infected by a certain parasite and various experimental creations. The game isn't quite as scary as its precedents, but it's a great waste of time. Not many games can be played for two days straight without boredom arising. This is truly one of the best! If you like adventure, mystery, action and violence, then this is a must for you. So when is Resident Evil 5 coming out? I can't wait.

I've always liked the Resident Evil games, ever since I came across the first one 5 years ago. Never finished it though. I've started playing it a couple of times, but abandoned it just as quickly. I got Resident Evil 3 from a friend of mine even before I got the first one, but I didn't have a computer then, so what good was that? And the CD doesn't seem to work on the computer I have now. Anyhow, about two years ago I got Resident Evil 1 to 3 for my playstation, and played through the 2nd and 3rd games in a week. Just a few days ago I almost completed the first game, but the CD couldn't stand the pressure anymore and now I can't move up the main stairs or through two certain doors in the mansion without the game freezing. So I had to abandon the game ( I reached the part where you find the Battery and go back to the elevator, but I can't open the door to the Gardens, lmao. )

Anyhow, here are my finishing stats. As usual a few extras are thrown in after game completions. One of them being The Mercenaries, a minigame previously seen in the two recent prequels. Then theres 'Separate Ways' and "Assignment Ada", two games featuring the parallel adventure of Umbrellas secret Agent sent in to gather samples of the so called 'Las Plagas' parasite. And then theres a nifty movie viewer where you can see all of the games exiting cut-scenes, from the beginning to the end, that you went through in the game. A new, more professional, game mode is also revealed (much harder, obviously), and you can buy a couple more weapons from the mystery shop.

Btw, if you think my own 'killcount' is way to high (I mean, 1 death per 10 enemies killed, gtfo) it's not the enemies that killed me. It's all due to certain parts of the game where you have to press a certain combination of keys quickly to avoid getting killed instantly by rolling boulders/knifes/lasers/large jagged spikes/monster teeth/etc. It's not the same key combinations and you only have a second to react, so these parts of the game can be pretty aggravating at times and cause multiple deaths one after another. On a completely unrelated note, Resident Evil Extinction sucked. Why do all trilogies have to have to the worst endings? Goodnight. :P

Resident Evil 4 - Seperate Ways

I finished one of the extra minigames today, the 5 chapter parallel gameplay starring Agent Ada. Twas an interesting insight in what things were actually going on at other places while Leon battled his monsters. Here's my results!

Started playing round two in regular mode as well. A few new weapons available to buy from the shop. Both with unlimited ammo and tons o' power! The only catch is that they cost 1 million each, so I'm saving my cash and waiting patiently until I reach the specified sum of money. In other news, all my websites were suspended last week due to me hosting direct anime downloads on them, they have been unsuspended today, but I'm still waiting for my domain names to start working again.

Assignment Ada

Jack Bowser never dies! This is the 3rd time he appears to torment Ada with his shield of immortality. I died so many times at the final fight that I'm not even posting my stats this time, heh, just a little image from the intro screen. Assignment Ada, in difference from the other mini-games and repeats, does not have a save option, you play through the whole game in one go, collecting 5 las plagas samples before flying away in the chopper. It's also, unlike the other games, hard, but it's short, so it can easily be played through it in a few hours ( excluding the last fight ).

Anyhow, now that I've finished the last crucial part of RE4 I'll be throwing it away, saving my save files for possible future play. Have a nice night and soon-coming day! Yay.

Super Chick Sisters

What a great game it is! Not only is it humorous, and has tons of short mario parodies in it, but it also has smooth gameplay, good music and an interesting plot. Btw, play as Pam, here you go :

My Universe

I failed it. The first real examination in Japanese. The rerun is on Friday, which means I have only have two days to study for it, which means trouble. No, it doesn't mean trouble because there's only two days left, it means trouble because I have a lesson on Friday in another Japanese course which I can't be absent from or I'll most definitely fail that course instead. So which should I prioritize? Most definitely the one on which I should be rerunning on Friday. See, there is a maximum limit of 4 chances, and I suppose that if I skip chance 2 I'll still have two more to go, which should be plenty. I emailed the teacher and asked how we would be notified about grades/etc a week ago, and still haven't received an answer. I was going to call her yesterday, but was notified that her office hours are between 10 and 11 on Monday. So what should I do? Call her next Monday then and hope for the best.

University never turned out quite the way I pictured it. From the very start of it up until now I've had a much more unserious conception of this place I study in. On the very first day there there had been a double booking for the "big room" and we were forced to cram 70 chairs into a small space at the other end of the building. Since then there have been problems with the movies displayed, more problems, and problems on top of that, all of which I have blogged about earlier. The Japanese Realia course I study (the one that I have a lesson in on Friday) consists of half movies, half lectures, with simple answers after each event that are to be answered. No final exam, nothing. Since there was a slight misunderstanding concerning the schedule at the beginning of this course (my fault entirely) I ended up only doing the Japanese Realia part of Japanese I and not the Language part, which was the bigger part of it. I also had a small Japanese History before 1868 course beside that, and I just needed 7,5 more points to get enough for my study-money after one course had been dropped (believe it or not, here in Sweden we get paid to study). So, I picked up a small course about Dinosaurs. The course consisted of 9 question sheets, which were all very simple, and I've managed to get through them all in less than a full day, total time.

The Japanese History exam didn't go perfectly, but I never really considered failing an option. I've never failed at any tests I've actually studied for before. I've even passed quite a few tests without studying at all, so realizing that I've actually failed was devastating news. To think I'll have to write another eight page essay with the same content isn't a pretty thought. I realize now that the University is a completely different league, in exams, at least. Everything else has progressed just like before, deceivingly easy-peacy, no problems. Lets see how I solve this.

Btw, I wrote this a few days ago but was never even close to posting it on the blog, which is the reason why the days/times/etc are all messed up. I called my teacher two days ago and a date ( Jan 14 ) is set for the 2nd retry. Lots of studying to do until then, but I haven't started working on that yet. Today another catastrophe arose: I overslept. I even set my alarm clock the night before, which I don't usually need to do since I wake up automatically, but not this day, no no. It's the first time I've missed a university lesson due to sleeping disorder, and last, hopefully. I wonder how the day next week when I start at 8 will be (I was supposed to be there at 10 today).

Anyhow, I now have three absences, which is the maximum allowed before I get kicked out. Time to start abusing the alarm clocks snooze function and getting up an hour early, just incase. And I have to eat tons of garlic so I don't get a cold. :P My advice to you: skip university, get a job.
