Percival Lowell

Had you ever heard of Percival Lowell before?! Neither had I.

It turns out he died November 12, 1916 and was under his lifetime particularly interested in Korea and Japan. His sister was a well-known Imagist poet and critic and he moved to Flagstaff, Arizona in 1894. Which was a great place for astronomical observations, which by a coincidence was just the reason he moved there! These are the most interesting points of his life and you can read more if you are interested at Wikipedia!

The reason I am mentioning this maybe in Arizona or the US well-known man is that todays google logo, after some intense research was apparently dedicated to him. On a completely unrelated side note today is his birthday. So happy birthday Percival!

If he was alive he would be 151 years old! If you would like to know when he was born learn mathematics. I did bake a tiny cake today, but my budget is running low so can you please send me 151 candles?
