A friggin masterpiece. Great actors (famous, good), great characters (unique, defined), great action (bloody, explosive), great plot (crazy, detailed), great colors (gritty, old), great filming (creative, stable), great music (atmospheric, timely), great twists (expected, unexpected)... everything is just perfect. Need I say more?

If you like action, go watch it.

Didn't know this was a family movie last time I saw it (Rated R though!), it's cool to know, and it's still a friggin' masterpiece.

Violent, gritty, sexy, gross.... with a surprisingly star-studded cast with such variable inclusions as Bruce Willis, Josh Brolin, Rose McGowan, Jeff Fahey, Fergie (!), and Quentin Tarantino in a particularly uncomfortable role.

And then some. Great actors. Worth at least collective mention.

Of course a stand-out movie like this is all the more special the first time you see it, but it still holds up so well. It's all fine-tuned splatter and grit and old horror VHS like grindhouse but with a budget this time.

I wish we had more movies like this. The new Machete movies are great too, but the visuals seemed all the more polished on homage here.

Think I didn't even recognize the Kill Bill reference last time btw. Nicely done. Considering that there are probably more homages here I'm still missing, maybe I'll know more of them next time I see this...
