Don't leave me alone
Not here in the shade
Were darkness is present
And nightmares are made

Don't leave me alone
Not here in the night
Were monsters are formed
And screams fed with fright

Don't leave me alone
Not here in the glow
Of red lanters shining
From caverns below

Don't leave me alone
Not here at the port
Build me a bedroom
Around it a fort

Build me a castle
High up in the sky
As near to the light
As can be

And build me no mirror
No windows, nor corners
So that I can no
Monsters see

Build me a bed
So soft and fantastic
That it lulls you to sleep
When touched

In my world I built
For myself shame and guilt
Just a little bit
Too much
