poetic scribble by Bob Axell 2006

The winter is here,
All frozen in fear,
An undeadly silence,
Where all food is scarce,

The sun sheds a tear,
All dreams that were broken,
The coldness sweeps near,
Leaves behind a token,

Ice lines the side,
Of the road I walk by,
Snow coats the path,
Of the road I pass,

Summer is gone,
The sun still shines on,
A light to remind me,
The winter is strong,

Cold bright light,
With no end in sight,
I long for the end,
Of this long weekend,

I sit inside,
My safe home and write,
This poem to banish,
All evil from life.
