A deranged criminal forces a young woman to drive him across the country.
Based on a true story! That always makes it better.
It may be a bit clumsy sometimes, and a little cheesy initially, but you get over that soon enough. You grow with the characters, and especially with Emma, the victim in the situation.
The road trip bit was exciting, but the surrounding story on personal growth... somehow pales compared to it. In the end I can't tell if the second dance performance was really that much better. It's a good way to go full circle and conclude, but... was it necessary?
It's a little anti-climatic occasionally; a little simple, but I'm also glad they don't exaggerate. Not without the budget for it. It's a good story, with good actors, not the most incredible but real enough to keep you watching.
Not bad.
