Here's a pretty different sci-fi space movie. It has a bit primitive effects if you compare to, say, Star Wars, but otherwise that's what it reminds me most of. Even if the atmosphere is completely different, and alien diversity a bit limited. The story's a bit like Equilibrium too - but in space. Actors are OK, there's some verbal comedy, and Summer Glau yet again plays the unpredictable, uncontrollable killer with emotions deep inside, and Chiwetel Ejiofor the villian. The cast is mixed mediocre and great, the team not the most convincing, but they are an interesting bunch of characters; their relationships packed with passion and conflict.
IMDB's summary doesn't summarize things at all: The crew of the ship Serenity tries to evade an assassin sent to recapture one of their number who is telepathic. It's much more complicated, but maybe that's as far as you can type without revealing the secrets entirely. If you feel like watching a B-movie on the verge of being great, occasionally uplifting, sci-fi flick with contrasting inspirations from the most melancholy movies of the genre, here it is. Serenity. It's far from perfect, but it has its moments.

This was pretty damn interesting. And yet, nobody's spoken! Be the first!
