Sharknado 5 - Global Swarming (2017)

The last Sharknado was pretty modern, but this one takes it back to the ancients, tracking down the source of the Sharknado phenomenon. Apparently they've happened before, and our ancestors actually found a way to defeat them once and for all.

Time for some Indiana Jones and Alien vibes all over!

They're still destroying national treasures though. Last time it was around the US, and this time it's the world. Starting with Stonehenge, then Big Ben, Sydney, Rome, Brazil, Okinawa, The Queen, The Pope, The Prime Minister, The Pyramids, Sharkzilla, Safarinado, Potnado, time warp paradoxes, teleportations and Dolph Lundgren.... it never ends.

And Bret Michaels?! It's a short but appreciated cameo. There's also one really good moment of acting. Props Nova. And the witticism...

Forgive me father, for I am Finn.

The puns never end with this one!

The actors seem better, the special effects were definately better... everything's better really! I really enjoyed this one. Maybe it just seems so much better because the fourth one was one of the worst ones, but I still really enjoyed it. So despite some bad effects I'll rate it accordingly.

And it's in memory of John Heard. I'ts like they saved the best one for him.

Rest in peace.

 rated 4/5: fo shizzle
