Inktober #2 ANYTHING

ANYTHING

You can do ANYTHING! You set your mind? True. Question is: what a thing finds you.

Inktober #1 The Greenvine

The Greenvine

Something for a green time. A clambering vessel to link on to and flee mind. Embark into the Tober, where Ink plays as we de-wind, and rewind through the days as our mind plays, behind.

Oni Commission

Oni Commission

I commissioned an Oni-related piece a while back, but haven't heard back from the artist since. And it's been a while, so if anyone feels like picking up this project: feel free!

This is the mock-up. Intended characters are not myself with my umbrella(s), as seen above, but rather the two tough guys on each side, wielding a weapon of choice in the pose portrayed (or a somewhat similar one), with Konoko in the lead (preferably looking a bit more tattered); all surveying the dystopian wasteland surrounding.

Could be pretty cool no? I still hope they'll make a sequel for this game. Or a remake. Some day. Until then commissions are the next best thing.

Happy Pico Day!

Happy Pico Day!

Things are going down at NG today. :) If you have any idea what this is all about: get over there and celebrate! They're livestreaming too.

If you don't have any idea this is as good a day as any to get into and be active with the community. I recorded a quick verse and submitted an old collab entry for the occasion, so check those out too if you like. Wish time allowed something bigger but maybe next year... is what I say each year!

Happy Pico Day! I'm 'bout to sleep OK.

Me And Manga

I haven't posted anything all Manga-related since this have I? Oh, this too.

Since then I've read out the rest of the Ranma 1(2 books I had, and the books of Death Note I was missing (I actually bought the whole series again just to get my hands on the two I was missing - 1 and 6). I managed to get the final two earlier, and an English variant of Death Note titled #13... that I was hoping would delve into what happened AFTER all that... happened. It didn't. It contained a shitton of character summaries and Q and A though, so that was interesting too. Early promo and four panel comics as well.

I've picked up a few more Detective Conan books, the last segments of Ranma 1/2 (hoping to get the ones in between before I pick it up again), and maybe I didn't mention I managed to get a batch of Naruto, Dragon Ball Z and Bleach in English, and before that the whole Dragon Ball series (in Swedish)? And before that the final numbers of One Piece (which I've now read) along with a bunch of duplicates, and the last number of DNAngel, also with a bunch of duplicates, and some Keroro, .Hack, Rebirth and Ragnarok?

The first of the latter three was easy to read through. With the other two I'm still missing a few. Right now I'm making my way through Naruto, which considering how downhill the anime went I've been positively surprised with so far! Hope the manga doesn't go the wrong way too.

And then, guess what.

The Manga Motherload!

Also here's an alternative picture since I didn't realize I'd made one. It's not as good. Thus the alternative.

So that should probably last me a while huh. Manga Mania (coincidentally the name of a now discontinued but at a time very popular manga magazine over here). Hopefully this'll last me all summer, and winter... and then some. And leave me with plenty of duplicates to trade for the ones I'm currently missing.

...and over half a year since I first started writing up this draft, yupp, it really has lasted. There's still plenty to read, and trade, and a few ones missing too... I caught up as far as I could with Naruto, but priorities shifted and me and manga took a break, for a while. I read out the first book of Keroro at an airport recently, but that's about it.

To be continued, whenever surprise amounts of spare time might appear and my maniac manga obsession returns anew...

Merry Christmas!

Merry Christmas!

So it's that time of the year once again! When we fill up our pantry, then gather together to feast like beasts and be friendly with family. :)

I thought I'd have a few days more to prepare (a blog), but time flies when you're having fun packing presents. May your day be merry, though! I'm off to spend some time watching people unpack all those presents I just spent half the day wrapping... after a hopefully good meal and get-together.

Some spontaneous inspired Christmas poetry for the day:

Christmas time is nigh!
I look up at the sky...
Though all I see is ceiling.
Still seems a bit appealing.

It's bright and crisp and white,
Unlike the outside ground.
But good things come tonight,
When all us gather round.

Around the Christmas tree,
To get and give and feel,
Like part of something bigger!
And better. Let us heal.

Let us chit chat and relax,
And eat a bunch of snacks,
After too big a Christmas dinner,
Without winners - all grow fat.

And even without snow,
We've got all we need.
With friends and folks we know,
And ginger dough to eat.

And meals to make us sleep,
And too much stuff to wrap,
Just thought I'd write a poem,
And then it's back to that.

Merry Christmas!
Or whatever it is you celebrate where you're at.

Alternatively: And don't forget the hat.
