An ex-CIA operative is brought back in on a very personal mission and finds himself pitted against his former pupil in a deadly game involving high level CIA officials and the Russian president-elect.
That about sums it up! Pierce Brosnan (the Bond guy, you know?) plays that ex-CIA operative above, and he's accompanied by a few other actors I imagine may have been fetched from other Bond movies too, though the only one I definitely recognize is Olga Kurylenko.
It's a fast-paced, somewhat serious, professional operative-style action movie with a touch of complicated relations and some emotionally loaded confrontations between characters, along with the chases, helpless headshots and random drifting. It's a good movie, bordering on great, though never really reaching the level of re-watchability I hope for.
