The Year 2007

Happy new Year!

The new year has arrived!

A year of updates, opportunities and chances. Evolution and revolution and refusing of knowledge and reusing old resources and university and college. Rearranging and changing and upgrading and relocating! Remaking and replacing and rephrasing and regracing! Yeah.

Now . . . all of the above should be pretty selfexplanetory except for the relocating part . . . which I shall now explain. We will be moving the site to a new server in a few months! This is as soon as our paid time with the current Canadian company we are placed at runs out. So, where will be moving? I don't know, but it has to be somewhere that's faster, more reliable, with speed and connection as a priority and not loads of space that cannot be used due to the remote location of the server. If you have any suggestions, please tell us. Not much will be changing on the site, infact I have nothing planned, but there will be a lot of great additions and new features for the new year! Also, I've realized something, infact I have realized it many times before - but now it's time to do something about it. Do I get my visitors for the daily updates I post? No, I don't get visitors for the amount of content I have, I get visitors for the quality of it. It's the demand that controls all output. Well, thats how it's supposed to be when it's commercially driven. This site is not a commercial site, so I have driven it according to my own demands.

So, despite of how much of a postwhore I am I have to realize that it's a loss of publicity having to wade through the crap to find quality content. No matter how much I know this, I can't stop posting stuff just for the sake of posting more stuff, hehe. Grabbing content from other places, the simple copy and paste procedure. The biggest problem with this is that it takes time, and I don't have the time to sit infront of my computer all day. It's not good for mi health, I need to run around outside and play as well, so I will stop doing things this way. From now on, updates will only be posted when they are of importance. I will not add stuff just to add stuff, I will just add stuff when I feel like adding stuff or when visitors demand specific content. Thats one of my many new years promises. ^_^

The only exceptions when it comes to this being the Library, which I have been updating daily for almost 2 years now, I think I'll continue with that. Anyway, I celebrated yesterdays great new years celebration first at the home of my relatives David, Anki and Rolf. Food was delicious, they had made a Sandwich cake with Salmon, Tuna Fish, Cheese, Cucumber, Cheese and Shrimps ( and Sandwich of course, lol ), twas the best Sanwich cake I have ever eaten. Mmmmmmmm.
After that I played Lego Racers 2 with David for about 6 hours, occasional taking breaks to eat, the time just flew away. At about 11:30 we went home ( mi and mi famili ) and watched the fireworks from our windows, our house is a bit higher up than the rest so we have a good view. I always dream of shooting up all those fireworks myself, but my parental advice doesn't permit it and I don't have the funds to buy a few crates of fireworks myself, heh. Well, after the last fireworks flew I stayed up the rest of the night watching the anime "Grenadier" for a second time ( I've seen it before, it's great ) followed by Rob Zombies "House of 1000 Corpses", I was a little disappointed since it wasn't scary at all, it was just too unreal and badly filmed. Still, it was an entertaining movie. I went to sleep between 5 or 6 and woke up a few hours later tired as hell. To earn something you have to sacrifice something tho, and it's a cheap price to pay in following my great pointless tradition.

Last but not least before this section ceased,
Happy new year! ( again, but in bigger letters this time )

The past year has passed!
A lot has been learned however not much has been earned, on the ads we have placed on the site. So for the new year more ads will be there, in an ad-rotator that will give us greater. Revenue, and we travel through profits avenue, with enough cash to pay for server costs and not more of my pocket money is lost. :)

Christmas was great. I received almost everything I wished for. External Hard drive ( 320 GB, 480 MB(s) transfer ), USB Memory ( 1 GB ), Aluminum Case for 210 DVDs as well as some more small fun gadgets ( Electric Shocking Pen, JukeBox, Comics, etc ). I wasn't feeling too great during Christmas eve though ( tired/headache ), so I wasn't in the greatest of Christmas spirit, but it was nice. The day after the almight Christmas day ( 26th ), me and my sister took a trip to Ă–stersund to meet my brother David and celebrate a mini-christmas together with him. We stayed there for 4 days, ate different kinds of fish everyday ( he's a great cook ). Exchanged gifts . . . tho he has a pretty crappy economy atm, so he didn't have much to offer. The past year he's been trying to start up a small company, which is money and time consuming, very. Once he gets it going everything will be a piece of cake though, but the beginning is tough. He and his girlfriend Karin have a kid called Rasmus ( about 5 yrs old ), who is also very much time and energy consuming, hehe, we took turns playing with him 90% of the time we were there. lmao, it's always fun being in Ă–stersund tho.

At this time of the year there is usually at least half a meter snow there, and all water is frozen, but there hasn't been a winter this warm in a long time ( so, there was no snow and no frozen water ). I took a bunch of pictures during the visit, which you can view accompanied by relevant captions by clicking the "Additional Info" link at the bottom of this post, I didn't include that many tho, most the ones I took are blurry and dark, not much light at this time of year. Well, thats about all I have to say, if you've reached this line thanks for your time, heh. If you have suggestions on good paid or free hosts I'm all ears, I have nothing against posting for hosting either. Speed is the main priority. I'll be saving up to get my own server(s) in a few years . . . which will be a lot more fun, but for now I'll have to find a good and reliable place to host the site that doesn't cost more than the ad revenue I earn.

For the 3rd time, Happy New Year everyone! ;)
