Traded (2016)

Here's a Western about prostitution.

I've seen Western, and I've seen trafficking movies (daddy's girl getting kidnapped/tricked - daddy going on a vendetta), but I don't think I've ever seen the two concepts combined before.

It was good! Not as sexual as more modern movies of the sort, but considering the suggested timeframe (the 1800s) it feels like any more would be out of place. It does pack a punch though; plenty of emotion.

I wasn't sure I'd get into the pace, or the articulate act and dialog, which is all very subtle and... slow, but I did. In the end I enjoyed especially this change of pace and all traits of this time before ours. It was a pretty brutal movie too, in a laid-back, powerful, kind of way. Good watch.
