I've always said tradition is a prison. Didn't know who operated it, but it makes sense for it to be dead folks. Then again sometimes the inmates run the aslyum. Make sure you eat your fruitz. Pear Pressure.

Well-phrased too... sometimes those traditions ain't so bad though. Whenst derived from a lifetime of experience and learning. We'd do best to continually revise and consider the long-term ramifications of whatever ones we follow though; make sure they're still useful and relevant to our time. If we do keep 'em around. Some induce comfort. Some preserve legacies. Of course we all want some legacies of our own...
Feel even more so that regulation and governance is a prison, and the whole world is these days. A lot of that steeped in tradition too, the norms; the right and wrongs and limiters for what power we allow the powers that be hold...
