Boyka is like Rocky on a whole other level! Bad-ass fights. Brutal hits and insane coreography, starring not only Scott Adkins as the by now pretty infamous main character Boyka, but also such diverse talents as... actually I don't think I recognize any other names, but I hope to see more of them in future movies! Come to think of it the title reminds a lot of the comparable boxing franchise too. Same amount of letters. Similar letters. Similar phonetics. Could it be... coincidence?! Sure thing.
The plot starts out somewhat simple and cheesy (as with the prequels) but grows on you, despite unstable acting, and since it's not an all-that original or important part of the movie I won't delve into it further... though maybe it is more important than I think. It's the reason behind each fight. The main characters very raison d'etre. It's a red line that both cuts through and sows all scenes together - like an open wound. But it's not very original, so it doesn't need further delving into.
In the end though, this is a B-movie turned Triple A! Fucking A! Fucking AWESOME. For the fights, mainly, but maybe for more than that. Maybe this is the last of the franchise, but if not: I'm already looking forward to the fifth.
This movie also introduced me to Danny Lerner, a director. It was dedicated to him. Apparently I've seen a bunch of his films! Both B-movies and better ones. From Cyborg Cop to Olympus Has Fallen - action all the way. Great movies just like this, and I definitely hope to see more movies like this! May his legacy live on forever. Great watch.

This was pretty damn interesting. And yet, nobody's spoken! Be the first!
