Windows Commands

This page contains a list of useful Windows command-line references.

They all work on Windows XP; most of them on 7. To use them: click Start, click Run, type cmd and click OK. You're now plugged into the backbone of Windows and ready to haxxor the shizznit out it. Or effective your work. Or insert-option-3-here.

If you use Windows a lot some of these may already be familiar. Maybe you've used or heard of regedit, calc & find? Ring a bell? No? If not, read this and start learning about how your whirring box really works, and all it can do for you. If you already know most of these, then you know a lot more than I do. I'm posting this mostly because I need a reference myself, but regardless of your wisdom in Windows, be you a beginner or a licensed Microsoft Mechanic, I hope this page will serve as a quick reference when you need it.
