The second one: did it stand up to the first? Not really. The characters are great (props Neal McDonough) and the action's great (plenty of explosions) and the comedy's the same: sometimes kind of lame but... how ever did Frank get so overprotective?! Though it is a major plot element that sort of ruined it for me. Imagine if Frank and Sarah had been a killer duo at this point, like the ending on the prequel seemed to promise? That + the rest of this movie... that would have been good.

There is some eighties synth though, stylish outro art (that looks like it was made for an entirely different movie), Anthony Hopkins, Byung-hun Lee, love, gunfights, an awesome explosion in the sky, plenty of infiltration and inside skirmishes... three's also a lot of cliche and skipping around for no reason until... it ends like it ended last time. Once again.

The basic premises for the plot seems somewhat farfetched, like it was fetched just for the sequel, from far... but it is how it is. A sequel. Not flawless. A bit of the same old same old and a whole lot of 'jolly good', but I did enjoy it. Once again.

Maybe better than last time too. It builds on some old stereotypes but it does get better, and in the end it definitely was a good movie. On many planes (or just the one) above the first. This time it definitely gets a...
