The Glorious Seven (2019)

It's another seven story! Another group of brave souls who brave the odds in battle, and batter themselves bloody on the rocks of fate... with a little twist. It's not all good and bad. It's not in the wild west. And it's not all good, either. The gun effects and sounds feel as off as the voices do, sometimes so oddly timed it's almost as if they're dubbed, and though the moral uncertainties are there from the start for the viewer it takes a while for the cast to catch on.

And yet it is by horseback, and it does have action, and a lot of drama, and as the sun embezzles their silhouettes as they ride off into a late dawn... it's not so bad after all. Like a Western in modern times. Like that.

I like the characters too - all seven - specifically Shyanne and the Russian. But the quality... not the most glorious.
