Fairy Tail 34

While at the Akane Resort, Erza has been kidnapped and taken to the tower of paradise, a construction created to bring the dead back to life. With this tower the goal is more specifically to bring the powerful dark mage Zeref (Fairy Tail have already fought two of Zeref's demons earlier in the series) back to life. Erza worked on the construction as a kid, but why hasn't she told anybody about her past? And why is she being taken back now, by her former friends?

The council has received intel on the tower of paradise, and consider it a great threat.

Seigrain in the council proposes launching a magic doomsday weapon against the construction. He needs a majority vote to make it reality.

Natsu & Co pass by the wreckage of military vessels on their way to the isle.

Here it is, the tower of paradise. Erza has arrived and the rest of the crew are hot on her tail. It's been 8 years since she placed a foot here, and the tower is now complete.

Natsu & Co arrive inside the tower through an underwater passage (thanks to Juvia). Erza has escaped and is making her way toward Gerard, an old friend who is now in charge of the tower.

It's a short fight. A passage opens up and they head upwards. In the shadows, Gerard waits and watches. To him, all of this is just a game.

He's even prepared food for the guests!

Wet clothes is no problem with Natsu around. Virgo gives Lucy a set of appropriate clothes. No more bikini!

Oh, Happy has been kidnapped too, by the cat lover Millianna.

After eating, Natsu & Co meet up with Erza. When Natsu hears where Happy is at he runs off to rescue him. The rest of the team speak to Erza. At first she just wants them to leave, but after an inspiring speech on how they're all friends (courtesy of Lucy), she decides to tell them about her past.

Back then, she and her friends had planned an escape. The plan didn't make it. The guards accused Erza of being the mastermind, even though Gerard stepped up and said it was his idea. It was really Shou's idea, but he didn't have the guts to stand up. Erza was tortured and lost her right eye. Gerard saved her, and he in turn was captured and tortured.

The ghost of the dark mage Zeref appears and brainwashes Gerard into doing Zeref's will, in completing the tower, and through it's completion they will all be freed in Zeref's paradise. Next episode!
