So Luffy splits the ship in half and Nelson plummets to the bottom of the ocean. Not that he's a hammer (devil's fruit user), he's just really fat.

The sea starts sinking, and suddenly, the land of dragons appear! Calcified for a thousand years the dead resemble monuments rising up through the sky, below the ocean is the dragon graveyard and birthplace, a place they visit once ever millennium. Ryuuji is dead yet a new dragon is born, an egg that has been a thousand years under the sea finally hatches!

It seems Nelson didn't drown before the water sank, but Erik finishes him off quickly. He wants eternal life for himself. Will he get it? Sail on to the net episode!
