9 To 5 Smiley Faces

I'm hyped. I'm excited! I'm a bit nervous too. Come tomorrow I'll be starting my first 9 to 5, an actual 9 to 5, from 9 to 5. Well, at least tomorrow will be. I hope both times and days are flexible, as my other job(s) leave me with a somewhat impulsive schedule. This one is part-time, at a fine establishment somewhat far off (a slight hour by train), serving car parts, working the computer; potentially other more fun tasks like driving out goods. The pay is OK and it's a two week trial, so we shall see what happens after that! Speaking of 9 to 5's, we have a SAAB 9-5. Randomly coinciding terms FTW!

My main reason for posting this post, however, is to make you all aware of some exciting feature updates on the site, more particularly the emoticons page, which after ten years has finally been updated with the full pack of emoticons I designed in... I don't even remember when it was. It was a long time ago though. It may not have been exactly ten years ago, but I'd like to assume it's exactly ten years ago to this date and thus make it a spectacular anniversary addition!

The emotions may be tiny, octagonal and designed for a time when sites were... different. Do people even use emoticons anymore? Apart from a select few forums I rarely see them anywhere, and I haven't had more than regular textual emoticons on this site for many many years. :P :O :D Å_Å But if you do need a set, feel free to use these! They've been a looong time in the hiding.

The emoticons page isn't the only recently revived section. I've updated a bunch of others, fixed missing downloads and malfunctioning audio players and what-nots, dug up a few old unposted (on the blog, that is) words of wisdom, and updated this so you can get a better overview of what the site has to offer outside the blog. Been stalling with these things far too long. There's still a lot to add there, but all in due time.

Also, Love Story is out!! I've had it on loop for a couple days now, and so far it feels like one of those rare albums that sound great from the start, yet take a few more listens to fully take in. It's a musical adventure, creative, different, featuring a myriad of genres and a melodic flow that moves and sooths yet keeps the fire riding high. From intro to outro, it breathes rhythmical perfection, a carefully carved and pedantically puzzled quilt of music I wouldn't mind riding too. Or working to. Or just closing my eyes and listening to. Less said: I love it. That's the story for today.

This was pretty damn interesting. And yet, nobody's spoken! Be the first!
