Bullet In The Head (1990)

Bullet In The-Head (1990)

Just watched the movie with this title, an old action classic by John Woo from 1990, and it was depressing. Not the kind of depressing that leaves you crying and screaming and tearing your hair out, more like the kind of depressing that makes you... eh... depressed. If you've ever seen Deer Hunter you'll know the kind, and vice versa.

The movie follows a group of friends from Hong Kong to Saigon and back, and it just so happens the Vietnam war is raging on at the same time. Their fight to stay alive tests the limits of their friendship and the values of human life. There's a lot of blood, dust, death and disturbance involved, as with all John Woo movies, and though it's not a film that leaves me with peace of mind, or one that I'd enjoy watching again for the good action scenes (as is the case with a bunch of other John Woo movies), it is a movie I appreciated. Recommended if you're not too weak of heart.

About Teeth

This is the best I can find, a page with all the info I needed to get, well most of it, the rest is pretty self explanatory, or unmentioned due to economical conflicts on a multimillybillion international globally infective scale. Think I need to start taking care of my teeth better, right now. Any page you'd like to mention? Not indexed in main view on Googles front page search for whatever I searched for? Post a comment. Night!

Speaking About This Morning & Before

I woke up to the sound of trucks and sunshine. The bedside alarm clock without alarm notified me that it was just an hour from mid day, I wasn't alarmed, so in the sun I lay, and after a while decided to get up and stretch my arms. I was planning on searching for something on Google, so I typed the address into the password field on my computer, whoops.

I remember dreaming that I was in a house, there were lots of people there, mostly friends of mine, some I didn't know, and due to some kind of war raging on in the outside world we couldn't leave the house, or live quite like we wanted to. The food was limited, but we managed to find new sources, we went through the house and picked up rations as if it was an arcade game. I remember finding a secret passage to a room they said couldn't be entered. I tried to climb in through a window first, they said they threw old things into the room but I remember thinking that was strange since it seemed to tidy. The light was on, too, but in the dream that didn't seem strange at all.

Anyhow, I managed to get into the room and suddenly it was a lot larger than I had expected it to be, there was a bar, and there were three girls there too, I spoke to all of them and the conversations popped up in RPG-style speech bubbles, and I remember the secret passage being marked by pink dots as it is in Task Maker, the bar was in Task Maker manner as well, but apart from that nothing was top-down view as in that game. They gave me food and I left the room pleased.

There was a fire in the house, something on the second floor living room started burning, but it wasn't spreading so we weren't worried. I tilted in a row of cut pipes from the window though, to guide in the rain and put out the fire, careful to get rain only where there was fire and not get the whole house wet. The floor was covered by a gray carpet, the walls were white, the ceiling was high up, the windows were large, with two sections opened outwards, left and right.

Did I mention it was raining all the time? The sky was constantly dull and dark, and a garden could be seen outside, surrounded on three sides by the house we lived in. Outside there loomed only nature. Inside chandeliers lit up the artificial sky. I remember playing some kind of game, we were playing about food, I think, and the rules were exclusive to the dream only. I remember going to the bathroom too, I had to enter someones bedroom to get there, but they were out on the balcony or in the room beside the balcony, so it didn't matter.

That's about all I remember, apart from distant fragments that don't make much sense without the large context, but it's a shame, I know it was a pretty interesting dream... all together.

So what's up in life otherwise? Mostly studies, a little website work (I'll post about that later), a lot of sunshine these past two days, I went out for a longer tour taking photos for an assignment yesterday, stayed at Big Bears house this weekend watching movies one day, walking almost constantly the other. Monday I had a headache that wouldn't get better, and tomorrow I'll be taking most of the day off to play table tennis with a buddy.

8Bit, Hero Core, Stuff

Ever played 8Bit Killer? You should. If you're doubtful, read the FAQ I threw together yesterday here. See the mind blowing screen shots, listen to the surreal music at the same time, and be awed! No really, it's a great game, simple and entertaining, graphics aren't everything... and it's free to download and play too. I threw together a FAQ for Hero Core today as well. It's still incomplete, as I have yet to play out the game myself, but it'll give you a kick start. Did I mention both of these FAQs are the first of their kind online btw? No other FAQs for 8Bit Killer or Hero Core have been made, so they're both really exclusive CyberD stuff. ;)

I've been working on the stuff page today too, it's being updated with new content and icons as I type (well not really, but I'll get back to that when this is posted), and more importantly, the bad links are being fixed. I changed the page extensions from / to .html a while back, and it's taking forever to get the links cleaned up. Not that I've worked on it at all until today, lmao, anyhow, there's a mash of old and new stuff here, a page I'm throwing together at a parallel pace with the other stuff page. There's a lot of old crap, but there's a lot of interesting stuff too, you'll have to dig your way through the pile for now, until I have time to throw together some descriptions, but the main thing is that everything is listed, right? A design page is up as too, here, it's not linked to yet, should be up in the menu sometime next week, when I get it done.

I also fixed the sidebar links and threw together a bunch of buttons you can link us with, the old ones had a B too much in them. Contacted all affiliates and asked them to change the URL too, and there's a new buddy in the list now, Luis Mirones, and two others less. Sites come and go but you know CyberD is here always, hehe.

In other news... no other news. :P
